MROM64L PCB assembly instructions

  1. Solder all top-side surface-mount chips (U2, U3) and capacitors (C2, C3). Take care to orient the chips correctly.


  2. Solder the capacitor (C1) and pull-up resistors (R1 - R7) on the underside.

  3. Break apart some single-row round pin headers. One length of 2 pins and two lengths of 14 pins are needed. For each length, solder a pin on one end, then on the other, while applying downward pressure, before soldering the rest. This ensures that the headers are installed flat and even.


  4. Cut down the bottom right corner pin's solder joint, as it may collide with the DIP socket

  5. Install the DIP socket

  6. Install the pin headers

  7. It is complete. Installed a programmed 010 ROM into the socket and install in a C64.
